Building up your emergency food storage can be an overwhelming duty. Begin with baby steps. Let’s start with a 3-month supply.

Start by building an extra supply of food in which that is part of your normal buying habits, daily diet, or comfort food.

A good starting point is to just buy a few extra items here and there each time you go out shopping so that over time you will have saved up a one-week worth of accumulated food.

Then you can slowly increase your supply until it is sufficient for 3 months of supplies.

These things you have stored should be turned regularly to detour spoilage.

How do I start? We have a tendency to eat the same thing over a couple of weeks.

Now you know what your household eats in two weeks. Multiply that by 6 and you have your 3-month food supply. Work on it! You can do it!

Then replace what you use. But ALWAYS 3-months of food on hand as a rule to follow, just to be safe.

Why just build a 3-month supply of food? Well, here are a couple of reasons I could think of below.

You could become out of work, and lose your job, but in prepping these supplies, at least you can eat.

Flu or another type of illness? The best way to avoid touching and being close to others, and to stay indoors.

Health authorities suggest one week for an epidemic is pass through its stages (don’t ask me what those stages are!). Be safe – stay indoors with your supply.

Mhmm, best to add some games to that list too!

This may seem easy, but it is so important to start – But DO IT NOW!
